Oran Authorities Secure Public Beaches: Two Arrested for Illegal Exploitation at Ras Falcon

DZWatch can confirm that authorities in Oran province have launched a significant operation against illegal beach exploitation, leading to two arrests and the confiscation of numerous items at Ras Falcon beach. This concerted effort underscores Algeria's commitment to preserving public access to its natural treasures.

Oran beach exploitation crackdown

The operation, spearheaded by the Ain El Turck district security services in close coordination with local authorities, specifically targeted individuals unlawfully commercializing public beach areas. During the coordinated raid, security personnel successfully apprehended two individuals identified as illegally operating on the popular Ras Falcon beach.

The enforcement action resulted in the significant seizure of 111 chairs, 18 sun umbrellas, and 29 tables. Officials emphasized that this intervention is part of a broader strategic commitment to safeguard the public and free nature of Algeria's beaches. By actively countering unauthorized commercial activities, authorities aim to prevent practices that infringe upon citizens' rights to enjoy these natural spaces without charge, ensuring they remain accessible for all.
