Algeria Fortifies Academic Ties with Germany Through New Dual-Degree Initiative

Algerian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Baddari, welcomed a delegation from Germany's Giessen University to the ministry headquarters on Monday. The visiting delegation was led by Rector Professor Manfred Weissensee, accompanied by his deputy and three deans.

This high-level reception follows the recent signing of a pivotal partnership and cooperation agreement between Algiers 1 University and Giessen University. The agreement is set to actualize a dual-degree program, benefiting students from both Algeria and Germany.

The collaboration is designed to significantly enhance research and scientific cooperation between the two institutions. Plans include organizing joint scientific events in specialized fields and substantially increasing the mobility of various members of the university community in both directions, fostering a vibrant exchange of knowledge and expertise.
