Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received Norway’s State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Snorre Eriksen Sifverak, at the ministry’s headquarters during his official visit to Algeria.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the longstanding partnership and cooperation between Algeria and Norway, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons, renewable energy, and the energy transition. Both sides also highlighted the important role of their countries in ensuring global energy security and supplying the European market with reliable energy resources.
The two officials further emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation by encouraging direct investments, taking advantage of Algeria’s favorable business environment and the incentives available to foreign economic operators.
