Minister Sayoud Mandates Accelerated Digital Transformation for Public Services
Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, recently presided over a working session at the Government Palace with officials from his ministry responsible for the digitalization portfolio. This meeting was held to implement the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which aim to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and strengthen inter-sectoral connectivity across various governmental departments, according to a ministry statement.
The working session focused on evaluating the current status of digitalization within the sector and assessing the progress of various digital projects and systems. Particular attention was given to initiatives directly linked to public services for citizens, such as grey cards and civil status documents. The session also aimed to identify any shortcomings and imbalances observed, especially those that could affect the continuity and quality of services provided to the public.
During the session, the Minister issued strict instructions for full mobilization and the immediate resolution of identified deficiencies, emphasizing the need to accelerate their processing. He also called for continuous monitoring of various digital projects and systems, ensuring the completion of associated operations within specified deadlines. These measures are designed to place citizens' concerns at the forefront of priorities, guarantee their effective resolution, and improve the overall quality of public services.
Furthermore, Minister Sayoud underscored the importance of elevating the level of coordination and integration among all relevant services and structures.
