Algerian Police Thwart Psychotropic Drug Trafficking in Khemis Miliana

The Mobile Brigade of the Judicial Police in Khemis Miliana, Ain Defla province, has successfully dismantled a network involved in the trafficking of psychotropic substances, leading to the arrest of three individuals. This decisive operation resulted in the seizure of 1,800 psychotropic capsules, marking a significant success in the ongoing national efforts to combat illicit drug trade and protect public safety.
The operation commenced following precise intelligence received by the police unit concerning an individual possessing a substantial quantity of psychotropic substances intended for distribution within a neighborhood in Khemis Miliana. Leveraging this crucial information, the Mobile Brigade meticulously developed a comprehensive security plan, which was then executed with precision to target the suspects.
Through careful coordination and execution, police elements were able to apprehend the main suspect along with two accomplices directly in the act. Preliminary investigations further revealed that one of the arrested individuals was already wanted by judicial authorities in connection with a theft case. All suspects have since been presented before the competent judicial authorities to undergo the necessary legal procedures, affirming Algeria's commitment to upholding law and order and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
