Two Algerian footballers, Akram Bouras and Kaïl Boudache, have successfully navigated the third qualification round of the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League, positioning their respective clubs on the brink of the prestigious group stage. Akram Bouras, representing Levski Sofia, saw his team secure their place in the final qualification round after two strong performances against Kaïrat Almaty. Meanwhile, Kaïl Boudache and Olympique Lyonnais also clinched their spot in the play-offs following a notable comeback. After an initial 2-1 defeat in the first leg against Sparta Prague, Olympique Lyonnais delivered a commanding 3-0 victory at Groupama Stadium to overturn the deficit. Boudache notably featured in the second leg, coming on for the final fifteen minutes of the match, contributing to his team's successful qualification.
