CNAS Bouira Enhances Social Security Outreach for Algerian Diaspora

The National Social Insurance Fund for Salaried Workers (CNAS) in Bouira has intensified its outreach efforts as part of a national awareness campaign that commenced in late July. This initiative, under the direction of local institution head M. Houssam-Eddine Benchiheub, directly targets members of the Algerian community living abroad. The primary goal of the campaign is to inform them about the voluntary affiliation system to the national social security and retirement framework.
To maximize engagement with Algerian nationals residing abroad who are visiting the region during the summer, CNAS Bouira teams are conducting on-the-ground activities. Information days have been organized at the AB Discover leisure park and the El Nadjah Travel agency, with plans to also engage with the local Air Algérie office, which serves as a key transit point for the diaspora. This comprehensive approach aims to popularize Executive Decree n° 22-351 of October 18, 2022, which outlines the specific conditions and procedures for voluntary affiliation for nationals engaged in professional activities outside Algeria.
The campaign's main objective is to provide Algerian workers abroad, whether salaried or self-employed, with complete social protection within Algeria. This system guarantees a range of social rights and ensures a secure retirement in their home country. This information campaign underscores the commitment of both local and national authorities to maintain strong connections with the national community established abroad, securing lasting social rights and a stable retirement for them in Algeria.
