Commerce Ministry Digital Platform Records 1,720 Operator Concerns

Algeria's Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion has announced that its recently launched digital platform for economic operators has registered 1,720 concerns. This immediate and substantial engagement follows the platform's introduction, underscoring its rapid adoption by the business community. The initiative aims to enhance the government's responsiveness to the needs of economic actors and improve the overall business environment.

The Ministry reported that out of the 1,720 registered concerns, 820 have already received a response, representing 47.7 percent of the total. An additional 900 concerns, approximately 52.3 percent, are currently undergoing processing. Officials affirmed the Ministry's dedication to closely support economic operators and to maintain swift interaction regarding their concerns, emphasizing a commitment to improving public service.

The digital platform is designed to receive and process a wide range of concerns pertinent to various existing digital platforms under the Ministry's purview. These include issues related to the digital platform for importing raw materials and equipment designated for manufacturing, as well as concerns linked to the digital platform monitoring estimated import programs for raw materials, goods intended for resale, and the management and follow-up of service import operations. Furthermore, the platform addresses concerns associated with the dedicated fund for export promotion, aiming to streamline communication and support for diverse economic activities.
