Air Algérie Opens Reservations for Direct Shanghai Route

Air Algérie has initiated reservations for its forthcoming direct service between Algiers and Shanghai, China, slated to commence on October 26, 2026. The national airline plans to operate this new route three times weekly, utilizing its modern Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. This development, reported by the specialist site AeroRoutes, signifies a notable expansion of Air Algérie's international network into Asia.
The new connection will link Algiers' airport with Shanghai-Pudong, a major hub in the Chinese metropolis. The schedule details indicate flight AH3082 will depart Algiers at 13:00, arriving in Shanghai the following day at 10:00. The return flight, AH3083, is set to leave Shanghai at 12:00, reaching Algiers by 20:00. These specific timings and frequencies underscore the structured planning for this key route.
The opening of bookings for Shanghai marks the first of two new Asian destinations Air Algérie is preparing for the winter 2026-2027 season, with a planned Delhi route yet to open for reservations. This strategic expansion follows previous reports by AeroRoutes and affirmations from Air Algérie's CEO regarding the company's focus on the Asian market. By adding Shanghai, alongside existing services to Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou, Air Algérie reinforces air connections between Algeria and China, securing an enhanced presence in one of the world's leading economic and commercial markets.
