Benstiti’s Squad Dominates Central Africa 7-0 in Olympic Qualifiers

The Algerian women's national football team secured a commanding 7-0 victory over the Central African Republic on Tuesday, marking their continued success in the second round of qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. This decisive performance underscores the clear superiority demonstrated by Coach Farid Benstiti's players throughout the two-match series, culminating in an impressive 15-0 aggregate scoreline.

The Algerian squad quickly took control of the match, building a significant lead against an opponent unable to counter their offensive plays. The scoring opened early with Bendris finding the net in the third minute, followed swiftly by Bethi doubling the lead in the fifth minute. Dafeur further extended Algeria's advantage in the 40th minute, while Bethi secured her brace just before halftime, scoring in the 45th minute.

In the second half, the Algerian team maintained their offensive momentum. Bekhaled added the fifth goal in the 60th minute, and Smaali contributed to the scoreline four minutes later, at the 64th minute. This overwhelming 7-0 win follows an equally dominant 8-0 victory in the first leg held at the July 5 Olympic Stadium, highlighting the team's ability to score consistently while maintaining a clean sheet across both encounters.

This latest triumph signals the continued progression of the Algerian women's national team, which had previously made history by qualifying for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil after achieving third place in CAN-2026. The team aims to sustain this positive trajectory in their Olympic campaign, seeking to earn a spot at another major international event and further solidify their presence on the global stage.
