Air Algérie, ONPO Partner for Enhanced Pilgrim Services

Air Algérie and the National Office of Hajj and Umrah (ONPO) have formalized a new partnership agreement aimed at enhancing the organization and coordination of Hajj and Umrah flights. Announced on October 15, 2026, the accord seeks to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions by integrating efforts, developing management mechanisms, and improving the overall conditions for Algerian pilgrims. This initiative is designed to better prepare for the Hajj season, clearly defining each entity's responsibilities and outlining efficient modalities for information exchange.
A key aspect of this cooperation is the introduction of a dedicated digital application for travel management, which will facilitate secure online ticket reservations. This digitalization effort is expected to simplify procedures and enhance the reliability of both reservations and overall operational management. The partnership also includes measures to strengthen communication regarding flight schedules, ensuring that information disseminated to pilgrims is harmonized and accurate across official channels. This unified approach aims to keep travelers well-informed about updates concerning their journeys to the holy sites.
Furthermore, the agreement establishes a joint mechanism to monitor the implementation of the partnership, allowing for continuous evaluation of operations and the prompt resolution of any potential challenges. Air Algérie has affirmed its commitment to deploying its resources and expertise in air transport to contribute to a successful Hajj season and to improve services offered to Algerian pilgrims. This strategic collaboration with the ONPO underscores a shared dedication to integrated and effective joint work, with the primary objective of serving Algerian pilgrims and enhancing their travel experience.
