Tizi Ouzou Professional Training Expands with New Specialties, 7,000 Trainees

The wilaya of Tizi Ouzou is set to welcome approximately 7,000 new trainees into its professional and vocational training programs beginning in October 2026. This intake includes the introduction of ten new specialties, strategically designed to meet evolving market demands and bolster youth employability. The initiative underscores a dedicated effort to provide diverse skill-building opportunities for the region's young population.

Among the new offerings are courses in cybersecurity, tourist marketing, retail management, hospitality arts, plastics transformation, saffron cultivation, garden and park maintenance, corporate tax declarations, technical English for audiovisual, and tele-advisor roles. These additions contribute to a comprehensive training catalog that has already attracted significant interest, with 10,646 young people registering on the dedicated platform, including 3,514 female participants.

Beyond the new specialties, popular fields such as digital telecom IT, hospitality-catering-tourism, construction and public works, and electricity-electronics-energy continue to attract substantial enrollment. The training programs are delivered through various modes, including apprenticeship, in-person attendance, and diploma-awarding courses, reaching participants in 32 Professional Training Centers (CFPA), 7 National Institutes of Specialized Professional Training (INSFP), 1 Professional Education Institute (IEP), 10 annexes, and 29 private establishments within the wilaya. The Professional Training and Education Directorate in Tizi Ouzou previously announced an offer of 12,000 diploma and qualifying training positions across 222 specialties, developed based on the national reference framework for training and competencies, which aims to connect the training sector with economic actors.
