High Officials Join President’s Tribute to Boualem Boualem in Algiers

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune paid his final respects to the late Boualem Boualem in Algiers on Tuesday afternoon, following the arrival of his remains. At Houari Boumediene International Airport, President Tebboune recited the Fatiha from the Holy Quran before the deceased's body and extended his condolences to the family. Numerous high state officials also gathered at the airport's salon d'honneur to honor Boualem Boualem.

Boualem Boualem, who served as the Director of Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, is recognized as a distinguished servant of the state who dedicated his life to the nation. His career was marked by integrity, discretion, and a constant focus on Algeria's best interests, earning him the respect and esteem of his colleagues. He was known for his significant administrative expertise and rigorous approach to major national issues, performing his duties with serenity, realism, and distinction.

A trained magistrate and jurist, Boualem Boualem held various administrative and institutional roles throughout his extensive career. He began in the magistracy in Oran in 1982, later becoming an advisor to the Supreme Court and a member of the Council of the Nation for Tiaret. President Tebboune appointed him Director of Cabinet on January 2, 2024, after he had served as an interim head, and earlier as an advisor for legal and judicial affairs since 2020. The Presidency of the Republic highlighted his role as an authentic patriot and high-ranking official, whose devotion, wisdom, and expertise served the nation at critical political and administrative junctures.
