Nigerian star Ademola Lookman, who plays for Atalanta in Italy, was crowned the Best African Player, while the Ivory Coast national team won the award for Best National Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individual Honors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ademola Lookman triumphed in the Best Player category, beating strong contenders including Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s Achraf Hakimi, Brighton\u2019s Simon Adingra, Borussia Dortmund\u2019s Serhou Guirassy, and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ronwen Williams, however, did not leave empty-handed. He was named the Best Player Based in Africa and also secured the title of Best Goalkeeper of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Team and Coaching Accolades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ivory Coast national team was recognized as the Best National Team following their victory at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, held on home soil earlier this year. Their head coach, Emerse Fa\u00e9, received the award for Best Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Club and Youth Achievements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Al Ahly of Egypt, winners of the latest CAF Champions League, was named the Best African Club.
