Rabat – The health sector union coalition in Morocco has resumed its protests, criticizing the government for failing to honor its commitments made in the agreement of July 23, 2024. The six unions forming the coalition announced a renewed wave of strikes and protests beginning early next year in response to the government\u2019s inaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government’s Broken Promises<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The ongoing governmental delays in implementing the agreed-upon measures have exacerbated frustration among health workers. According to a statement by the union coalition, the government failed to uphold its commitments, even after a meeting with the Minister of Health on November 10, where it was agreed to expedite the process of drafting and implementing new regulatory texts for the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
