She stressed that this initiative aligns with the <strong>Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework<\/strong>, adopted by the <strong>United Nations in 2022<\/strong>, which outlines a <strong>global roadmap<\/strong> for addressing biodiversity threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Rijn emphasized that the primary goal of the workshop was to develop a <strong>comprehensive plan<\/strong> for <strong>biodiversity protection and enhancement<\/strong> in Algeria while ensuring alignment with <strong>international biodiversity targets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Urgent Action Needed to Address Biodiversity Loss<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the discussions, experts <strong>sounded the alarm<\/strong> over the <strong>unprecedented loss of biodiversity worldwide<\/strong>, noting that over the past 50 years, <strong>ecosystem degradation and species extinction rates have surged to nearly 1,000 times the natural rate<\/strong>.
