Geneva<\/strong> \u2013 The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)<\/strong> reaffirmed on Thursday<\/strong> its commitment to providing aid<\/strong> to millions of Palestinians in the occupied territories<\/strong>, despite the implementation of the Zionist entity\u2019s ban<\/strong> on its activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement on its social media platforms<\/strong>, UNRWA declared:
“We continue to provide assistance and services to the communities we serve,”<\/em> according to the United Nations Office in Geneva<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agency also emphasized that its clinics remain operational<\/strong> across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem<\/strong>, and that humanitarian operations in Gaza are ongoing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zionist Escalation Against UNRWA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In October last year<\/strong>, the Zionist Knesset<\/strong> passed two laws aimed at terminating UNRWA\u2019s operations<\/strong> in territories under its control and banning official contact with the agency<\/strong>. As part of this crackdown, the Zionist entity also ordered UNRWA to vacate its offices in East Jerusalem<\/strong> and halt its activities there by January 30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in a separate statement on social media<\/strong>, UNRWA confirmed that it had not received any official notification<\/strong> regarding the implementation of these restrictive laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNRWA Stands Firm Amid Uncertainty<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

UNRWA\u2019s Director of Communications, Juliette Touma<\/strong>, told The Guardian<\/em> that the agency’s headquarters in East Jerusalem remains intact<\/strong>, adding:
“Our flag is still flying, and we have no plans to shut down our operations, but we are operating under uncertainty.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Zionist-imposed ban poses a direct threat to life-saving humanitarian aid<\/strong>, as well as education and healthcare services<\/strong> for millions of Palestinians in the occupied territories<\/strong>\u2014a concern that the United Nations has repeatedly warned against<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the escalating pressures, UNRWA continues to defy these unjust measures<\/strong>, ensuring that Palestinian refugees receive essential services<\/strong> amid growing challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
