In the passenger transport sector, SNTF carried 32.5 million passengers in 2024, reflecting an 8% decrease compared to the previous year. A\u00efbeche attributed this decline to the suspension of train services between Oran and B\u00e9char for several months due to sand encroachment and flooding in the region. Additionally, the cancellation of several trips resulted from the rescheduling of train services due to ongoing rehabilitation works on key sections in the Algiers suburbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout 2024, SNTF operated a total of 113,015 trips, including 21,213 freight trips and 91,802 passenger trips. The company\u2019s revenue also increased by 3.8%, reaching 2.8 billion Algerian dinars.
