{"id":11293,"date":"2025-02-28T12:07:39","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T11:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=11293"},"modified":"2025-02-28T12:07:40","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T11:07:40","slug":"trade-installation-of-the-ministerial-committee-for-organizing-the-intra-african-trade-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=11293","title":{"rendered":"Trade: Installation of the Ministerial Committee for Organizing the Intra-African Trade Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Algiers<\/strong> \u2013 The high-level inter-ministerial committee responsible for organizing the <strong>Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF)<\/strong>, scheduled to take place from <strong>September 4 to 7, 2025, in Algiers<\/strong>, has been officially installed, according to a statement from the <strong>Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installation ceremony took place on <strong>Thursday at the SAFEX Exhibition Center in Pins Maritimes<\/strong>, presided over by the <strong>Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mohamed Bouchari<\/strong>, in the presence of senior officials from the <strong>Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, and various ministerial sectors and national institutions<\/strong> related to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, the minister emphasized that the <strong>fourth edition of the IATF<\/strong> is a <strong>major African event<\/strong>, expecting the participation of <strong>15 heads of state, 2,000 exhibitors, 35,000 visitors, and delegations from 140 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bouchari also highlighted that the estimated trade volume during the fair <strong>is expected to reach $44 billion<\/strong>, with <strong>Algeria aiming to attract at least 10% of that figure<\/strong>, leveraging its additional contribution to the <strong>African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Opportunity for Algeria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister called on all stakeholders to <strong>fully mobilize efforts<\/strong> to ensure the success of this <strong>historic African trade event\u2014the first of its kind in Algeria<\/strong>.
