Algiers \u2013 Algeria\u2019s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, praised on Saturday in Algiers the Algerian-Italian partnership, describing it as both \u201cexcellent\u201d and \u201cvital.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a press conference held at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters, Attaf highlighted that among the international cooperation projects presented to Africa, \u201cthe partnership with Italy stands out as the most impactful,\u201d since it is \u201cfounded on concrete, field-based projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He underlined that Algeria\u2019s ties with Italy have come to the forefront in just a few years, particularly in trade, commending \u201cthe diversification of investments in energy, including supplying this friendly country with natural gas, as well as major ventures such as green hydrogen, fiber optics, and other projects of European scope driven by Algerian-Italian cooperation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing Algeria\u2019s satisfaction with the results of relations with Italy \u201cboth in terms of quality and quantity,\u201d Attaf urged other nations to \u201cfollow this example of a mutually beneficial partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to South-South cooperation, the Foreign Minister stressed that it falls within Algeria\u2019s firm belief in strengthening ties with the Group of 77, representing developing nations, which was founded in Algiers. He emphasized that Algeria\u2019s commitment to this framework is part of its enduring conviction in the necessity of advancing this form of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On another note, responding to questions regarding media claims about a supposed complaint filed by Malian authorities against Algeria at the International Court of Justice, Attaf clarified that \u201cAlgeria has not received any communication from the Court on this matter,\u201d adding that the international body itself confirmed that no such request exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
