The move was described by Algeria\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN, <strong>Ambassador Ammar Benjamaa<\/strong>, as \u201canother stain on the conscience of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the UN headquarters in New York, Ambassador Benjamaa expressed deep regret and issued an emotional apology to the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, who continue to endure relentless attacks and a worsening humanitarian crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe Algerians hear you, brothers and sisters in Palestine. Forgive us\u2014especially you in Gaza, where fire consumes you and rubble suffocates you. Forgive us because this Council failed to save your children, your women, your doctors, and your journalists,\u201d Benjamaa said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He highlighted the shocking toll of Israel\u2019s aggression: more than <strong>18,000 children killed<\/strong>, over <strong>4,000 women martyred<\/strong>, <strong>1,400 medical workers<\/strong>, and at least <strong>250 journalists<\/strong> targeted. In addition, more than <strong>500 humanitarian workers<\/strong> have lost their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cProtected by Bias, Not by International Law\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Algerian diplomat condemned what he called the <strong>systematic protection of Israel<\/strong> by certain powers within the international system, stressing that such impunity enables ongoing massacres, forced displacement, starvation, and attacks on hospitals and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIsrael is not shielded by international law but by bias,\u201d Benjamaa declared, adding that every act of impunity erodes humanity itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Algeria\u2019s Firm Commitment to Palestine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the setback, Algeria reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause.
