Algiers \u2013 The National Office for Copyright and Related Rights (ONDA) signed on Tuesday in Algiers an exploitation license agreement with the television channel \u201cAlgeria International\u201d (AL24 NEWS), as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the protection of creators\u2019 rights and ensure compliance with the legal framework governing the distribution and broadcasting of protected works, according to a statement from the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement, signed at the headquarters of \u201cAlgeria International,\u201d brought together ONDA Director Samir Tha\u00e2lbi and the interim General Manager of the channel, Hichem Mellakhssou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The purpose of the agreement is to define the conditions under which ONDA grants the channel the rights to exploit its catalog of protected works across both television and digital broadcasting platforms. This measure is expected to contribute significantly to safeguarding the rights of authors and rights holders in a structured legislative framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
