Naama \u2013 Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Sa\u00efd Sa\u00efoud, emphasized on Tuesday in Tiout (Naama province) the importance of strict field monitoring to ensure the timely completion of all urban improvement programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While launching a project to develop a public garden and rehabilitate the surrounding spaces of the Tiout oasis, funded by local budgets and development programs of various sectors with an allocation of around 210 million dinars, the minister stressed the need to respect the architectural and heritage specificities of municipalities with touristic character. He explained that such respect guarantees a balanced development model that combines authenticity with modernity, while strengthening the attractiveness of tourist destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sa\u00efoud highlighted that the state has allocated substantial budgets for these urban enhancement programs, particularly in Naama province, which has immense historical and tourist assets. He noted that the optimal use of the region\u2019s cultural, environmental, and heritage resources will boost local investment, create leisure facilities for visitors, and generate employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister underlined that direct presence in the field and listening to citizens\u2019 concerns are vital for achieving sustainable development aligned with the expectations of the population. He added that this inspection visit is part of the ongoing efforts to monitor the pace of development projects aimed at improving living conditions, in line with the participatory governance approach set forth by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Concluding his visit, Sa\u00efoud presided over the inauguration of a middle school named after \u201cMartyr Ben Gana Miloud\u201d and the new headquarters of the Tiout municipality, which includes various administrative services, a conference hall, and a biometric service center, enhancing the quality of public service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout his field tour, the minister listened to citizens and civil society representatives, assuring them of the state\u2019s full commitment to addressing developmental proposals that boost local progress. He also inspected multiple projects across the province in areas such as urban planning, housing, education, and tourism, reflecting Algeria\u2019s sustained efforts to improve citizens\u2019 living conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in the day, Minister Sa\u00efoud visited Mecheria to inspect a train maintenance center, monitor urban improvement works on \u201cIndependence Street,\u201d and inaugurate two primary schools in El-Feth district, in addition to reviewing social housing plots and a 300-unit rental housing project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Ain Sefra, the minister assessed ongoing urban upgrading works on \u201cColonel Lotfi Street,\u201d launched a 500-unit public rental housing project along with an annex to a sports high school, and reviewed the development of 1,530 plots for self-build housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
