Algiers \u2013 Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rzeig received a delegation from the General Union of Algerian Traders and Craftsmen, led by its Secretary-General Issam Bedrissi, to discuss the concerns of economic operators in import and export activities and the mechanisms designed to support them, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting, which included representatives from the Union\u2019s Importers and Exporters Federations, forms part of an ongoing series of consultative sessions the minister has been holding with various economic and social partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the discussions, Minister Rzeig affirmed that involving professional organizations is a \u201cfundamental pillar\u201d in implementing Algeria\u2019s national strategy for export promotion and for structuring the domestic market. This approach aligns with the government\u2019s broader vision under President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to strengthen national production, reduce dependence on imports, and reinforce Algeria\u2019s economic sovereignty in the face of regional pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
