Batna province is poised to become a hub for major development projects, including a new car manufacturing plant, according to RND Secretary-General<\/a>, Monther Boudhen. The announcement was made during a public gathering in the province on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Boudhen highlighted that the planned projects extend beyond automotive manufacturing, encompassing the construction of a 120-bed hospital and a new national highway connecting the cities of Barika and Biskra. These initiatives are expected to significantly improve infrastructure and healthcare access for the residents of Batna.<\/p>\n

Addressing the growing need for improved urban transportation, Boudhen acknowledged the local population’s desire for a tramway line. He pledged his strong support for the project, emphasizing the province’s favorable terrain for tramway construction. Furthermore, he noted that a tramway system would play a crucial role in alleviating traffic congestion within the city.<\/p>\n

The Secretary-General also revealed that Batna has benefited from approximately 13,000 housing units across various programs over the past three years, alongside numerous other urban development projects.
