A seminar titled &#8220;Rachid Boudjedra: 60 Years of Creative Writing&#8221; highlighted the unique nature of his works, which encourage profound self-reflection.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar, held in the &#8220;Assia Djebar&#8221; space at the Palais des Expositions, featured prominent literary figures such as Mohamed Sari, Ahmed Cheniki, Lahsen Kroumi, and Idriss Boudiba. They emphasized that Boudjedra&#8217;s literary world delves into themes of subjectivity, violence, and the status of women. His writings often critique social hypocrisy, pushing readers to confront uncomfortable truths and engage in critical thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Participants noted the evolution of female characters in Boudjedra&#8217;s works, transitioning from victims of societal norms to symbols of resistance and progress. They concluded that an analysis of Boudjedra&#8217;s oeuvre reveals recurring themes that underscore his commitment to sparking debate and challenging conventional perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>During the opening of SILA&#8217;s cultural program, Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda, honored Rachid Boudjedra for his extensive contributions to Algerian literature and his participation in the Algerian War of Independence.<\/p>\n<p>The 28th Algiers International Book Fair, themed &#8220;The Book, A Meeting Place of Cultures,&#8221; continues until November 8th. The event features 1254 publishing houses representing 49 countries, including 290 Algerian publishers.
