Algiers, Algeria<\/strong> – Algeria is preparing to host the fourth edition of the African Start-up Conference, a major economic and technological event for the continent. Scheduled from December 6th to 8th, the conference is expected to draw over 200 exhibitors and investors from across Africa<\/a> and beyond, with an anticipated 25,000 visitors.<\/p>\n

This year’s conference, held under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will focus on ‘Supporting the Rise of African Champions,’ according to Minister of Knowledge Economy<\/a>, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouahida. The theme underscores the ambition of African nations to build an innovative and interconnected economic ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The event will feature a high-level ministerial summit with over 40 ministers from various African countries, along with senior officials, representatives from international organizations, and experts and investors in technology<\/a> and entrepreneurship. This will provide a key platform for exchanging ideas, building strategic partnerships, and formulating new policies to support innovation across the continent.<\/p>\n

Rwanda will be the ‘Guest of Honor’ at this year’s conference, recognizing its significant progress in digital transformation and technological innovation. Minister Ouahida emphasized that Rwanda’s participation reflects Algeria’s commitment to strengthening intra-African cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Ouahida also highlighted the importance of establishing a fund to finance start-ups and young innovators in Africa, an initiative spearheaded by President Tebboune<\/a>. The fund aims to empower university students and emerging entrepreneurs, enabling them to play a greater role in driving continental economic growth and technological development.<\/p>\n

By hosting this major event at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Center, Algeria is solidifying its position as a regional leader in innovation and a key destination for investors and entrepreneurs. This summit promises to be a pivotal moment for the African innovation landscape.<\/em><\/p>\n
