Gaza City<\/strong> – A series of Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Monday resulted in the deaths of at least two Palestinians and numerous injuries, according to local sources. The incidents mark a concerning escalation despite the existing ceasefire agreement.<\/p>\n

Medical officials reported that a child was killed by Israeli drone fire in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. In a separate incident in the same area, an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinians, wounding two. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Further escalating the situation, ten Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone dropped explosives in front of a school sheltering displaced families in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. In the northern Gaza Strip, another Palestinian was killed and several others wounded by drone fire in the Al-Atatra area of Beit Lahia.<\/p>\n

In the southern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian man and his daughter were injured by Israeli artillery shelling targeting an area behind the “Yellow Line” in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis. The “Yellow Line” represents the boundary to which Israeli forces withdrew during the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement implemented last October. <\/p>\n

Adding to the tensions, the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, announced the assassination of one of their field commanders, Waseem Abdel Hadi (Abu al-Abed), near Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. The group accused Israeli special forces of carrying out the “cowardly and treacherous” operation. Al-Nasser Brigades stated that Waseem, was a prominent leader and founder of the Ahfad al-Nasser groups and played a significant role in developing their capabilities, as well as participating in various operations during the recent conflict.<\/p>\n
