Khartoum \u2013 General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, met today with Andreas Kravik, Norwegian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy to Sudan, to discuss avenues for achieving lasting peace in the country.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, General al-Burhan acknowledged Norway’s long-standing role as a key partner in the Sudanese peace process, spanning several decades. He emphasized the Sudanese government’s commitment to achieving a fair and sustainable peace that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people and safeguards their rights.<\/p>\n
