Airlines worldwide are experiencing significant disruptions to flight schedules following a warning issued by Airbus. The advisory concerns the need to update software linked to the control systems of approximately 6,000 A320 aircraft.<\/p>\n
ANA Holdings, Japan’s largest carrier, has already announced the cancellation of 65 flights. Jetstar, the Australian subsidiary of Qantas, has also confirmed that it is affected by the technical recall.<\/p>\n
In New Zealand, the national airline stated via its social media channels that its A320 fleet will undergo mandatory software updates before any further flights. This measure has resulted in a series of delays and cancellations.<\/p>\n
Air France reportedly cancelled 35 flights on Friday. Avianca, the Colombian airline, has indicated that 70% of its fleet is impacted by the software issue affecting the European-manufactured aircraft.<\/p>\n
In South Korea, the national carrier stated that it does not anticipate major disruptions, as only 17 aircraft in its fleet are subject to the recall.<\/p>\n
