Luanda, Angola<\/strong> – The Algerian national canoe kayak team is making waves at the African Championships in Luanda, Angola. The team has secured a remarkable six new medals on the second day of competition, bringing their total to nine in just two days.<\/p>\n

The medal haul includes four gold, one silver, and one bronze, showcasing Algeria’s dominance in the sport. Aya Ferfar<\/em> has been a standout performer, clinching gold in the Women’s K1 500m Under-23 category. She later teamed up with Anfal Larbi to win another gold in the Women’s K2 500m senior category.<\/p>\n

In the men’s events, the duo of Walid Garaff and Wassim Bougazzoula secured gold in the Men’s K2 500m junior category. Ayoub Haidra and Abdelhamid Djellouli added another gold in the Men’s K2 500m senior category. Walid Taachache and Mohamed Merzougui claimed silver in the Men’s C2 500m senior category. Aya Ferfar also added a bronze medal in the Women’s K1 500m senior category.<\/p>\n

The overall medal count for Algeria now stands at five gold, two silver, and two bronze. The team’s success builds upon their initial performance, which included a gold medal for Wassim Bougazzoula in the Men’s K1 1000m junior category, a silver for Walid Taachache in the Men’s C1 1000m, and a bronze for Riad Ben Touati in the Men’s K1 1000m Under-23 category.<\/p>\n
