Sheikh Tamim also reiterated Qatar&#8217;s unwavering stance against the targeting of civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, Blinken expressed his appreciation for Doha&#8217;s efforts in securing the release of hostages held by the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Qatar&#8217;s Prime Minister and <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=70571\">Foreign Minister<\/a>, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, underscored the current priority of ending the conflict in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need. He expressed Qatar&#8217;s commitment to working with partners to open a humanitarian corridor for aid to reach Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sheikh Mohammed stated that the only guarantee for achieving peace is to intensify efforts through diplomatic channels, emphasizing the dire consequences of expanding the conflict&#8217;s scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also committed to doing everything possible to secure the release of hostages in Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the presence of Hamas leaders in Doha, Sheikh Mohammed explained that the political office in the Qatari capital is used for communication with Hamas and promoting peace and tranquility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In line with Qatar&#8217;s position, the Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari, stressed the importance of avoiding collective punishment for the people in Gaza.
