Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib chaired a government meeting this Wednesday dedicated to reviewing proposals concerning several key sectors. The meeting focused on the national strategy for developing e-commerce, electronic communication services via satellite, and updates on major infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office, the government first examined a proposal regarding the national e-commerce development strategy. This strategy is part of the country’s digital transformation vision and aims to modernize the national trade ecosystem, establishing e-commerce as a fundamental pillar for economic competitiveness and financial inclusion.<\/p>\n
The government also reviewed the advantages offered by electronic communication services via satellites in non-geostationary orbit. This communication system promises to reduce the digital bill, ensure access to high-speed internet in rural and isolated areas, and complement existing strategic infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, as part of the follow-up on major infrastructure projects, the government received updates on the progress of projects related to the railway development program, the construction of a sports complex in Constantine, the Boukhroufa dam project in El Tarf, and the Ighil Emda-Mehouane water transfer project in Bejaia and Setif.<\/p>\n
The meeting underscores the government’s commitment to advancing digital transformation, improving connectivity, and ensuring the timely completion of crucial infrastructure projects across the country.<\/p>\n
