Paris, December 10, 2025<\/strong> – Journalist and political analyst Mehdi Ghazzar was released this morning after being detained by French police in Paris yesterday evening.<\/p>\n

Ghazzar, who works for the Algerian international news channel AL24 News, confirmed his release to the channel, stating that he was held for several hours before being freed earlier today.<\/p>\n

According to reports, Ghazzar was apprehended by police near his residence in Paris on Tuesday evening. Authorities reportedly informed Ghazzar that he was listed in the ‘S file’ and a separate database of wanted individuals. These are exceptional measures typically reserved for individuals deemed to pose a serious threat to public safety.<\/p>\n
