Sydney, Australia<\/strong> \u2013 Australian authorities have identified the perpetrators of Sunday’s attack at a Jewish celebration on Bondi Beach as a father and son. The tragic event claimed the lives of 15 people. Police have confirmed that no other individuals were involved. <\/p>\n

New South Wales Police Commissioner addressed the media, stating that the 50-year-old father was killed at the scene, while his 24-year-old son is currently in critical condition in a local hospital. Initially, authorities investigated the possibility of a third suspect, but have since ruled it out.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, police discovered a crude explosive device in a vehicle linked to the deceased attacker. The death toll rose overnight, with the youngest victim identified as a 10-year-old girl and the oldest as an 87-year-old man. Currently, 40 individuals remain hospitalized, including two police officers who are in serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n

Amidst the tragedy, authorities have lauded the bravery of a Muslim citizen, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, whose quick actions prevented further casualties. Video footage shows Mr. Al-Ahmed, 43, tackling one of the gunmen from behind, disarming him in the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis man is a true hero,\u201d said NSW Premier Chris Minns, describing the disarming as \u201cone of the most incredible scenes I have ever witnessed.\u201d He added, \u201cThere is no doubt that many people are alive tonight because of his courage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese echoed the sentiment, praising all civilians who offered assistance as heroes. \u201cToday, we saw Australians running towards danger to help others,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

According to a relative, Mr. Al-Ahmed was shot twice during the incident and is currently receiving treatment. \u201cHe is in the hospital, and we don’t know exactly what’s going on inside\u2026 We hope he is okay. He is a hero, one hundred percent,\u201d the relative told 7 News Australia.<\/p>\n

Investigations are ongoing, and police presence has been significantly increased across Sydney. The motive for the attack remains under investigation. <\/p>\n
