Former U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that the influence of pro-Israel lobbying groups in Washington has diminished, while simultaneously calling for a global effort to combat what he termed “radical Islamic terrorism.” Trump made these remarks during a Hanukkah reception at his Mar-a-Lago estate.<\/p>\n
Trump stated that pro-Israel political influence, once the most powerful among lobbying groups over a decade ago, is no longer at its peak. He also cautioned against what he described as rising anti-Semitism within the American political arena, particularly within Congress.<\/p>\n
These statements echo earlier comments made in September, where Trump suggested that Israel had “lost” its influence and ability to exert pressure on political circles in Washington due to ongoing conflicts. He stated that while Israel might “win the war,” it was losing the public relations battle, which was detrimental to its interests.<\/p>\n
He further claimed that he had done more for Israel than anyone else, including alleged strikes targeting nuclear sites in Iran during a previous conflict. <\/p>\n
In a separate statement, Trump reiterated his call for a global war against “radical Islamic terrorism,” following a mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney. He urged all nations to unite against what he described as the forces of evil represented by Islamic extremism.<\/p>\n
“Every nation must unite against the forces of evil represented by radical Islamic terrorism, and we are doing that,”<\/strong> Trump stated. “We send messages of love and prayers to the Australians, especially those affected by the horrific and anti-Semitic terrorist attack in Sydney.”<\/em><\/p>\n
