The incident, attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty water heater, occurred in the Hai El Hadj Messaoud area.<\/p>\n<p>According to local Civil Protection services, they responded to an emergency call at 7:56 AM regarding two individuals suffering from carbon monoxide inhalation. Upon arrival at the scene in Hai El Hadj Messaoud, Ghardaia, first responders discovered two women in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, both victims, aged 58 and 92, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were subsequently transported to the morgue at the local hospital. <\/p>\n<p><em>DZWatch<\/em> urges residents to ensure proper ventilation and regular maintenance of gas appliances, especially during the colder months, to prevent similar tragedies. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can be deadly when inhaled.
