{"id":40655,"date":"2025-12-28T01:42:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-28T00:42:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=40655"},"modified":"2025-12-28T01:42:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-28T00:42:31","slug":"workshops-on-combating-human-trafficking-begin-in-algiers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=40655","title":{"rendered":"Workshops on Combating Human Trafficking Begin in Algiers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Algiers, December 27, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Center for Legal and Judicial Research, is organizing a series of workshops in Algiers starting this Sunday, focusing on combating human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement released by the Ministry, the workshops will center around the &#8220;Legal framework for combating human trafficking and standards for protecting victims.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The workshops, held at the Judges&#8217; Residence, will host approximately one hundred participants, including judges, police officers, and members of the National Committee for the Prevention and Fight against Trafficking in Persons.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also feature experts and executives from the central administration and researchers from the Center for Legal and Judicial Research.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops, scheduled to run until Tuesday, aim to &#8220;strengthen the capabilities of judges and judicial police services in combating human trafficking crimes and utilizing investigation mechanisms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the initiative seeks to &#8220;identify victims through a comprehensive approach based on crime prevention and the deterrence of those involved.&#8221; <em>This includes fostering a victim-centered approach.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The sessions will also focus on protecting and caring for victims, as well as promoting and enhancing national and international cooperation and coordination, while upholding human rights.<\/p>\n<p>These workshops underscore Algeria&#8217;s commitment to fighting human trafficking and protecting vulnerable populations.
