The alert, issued earlier today, warns residents to take necessary precautions.<\/p>\n<p>The initial wave of adverse weather is predicted to impact western provinces. <em>Tlemcen, Naama, Bechar,<\/em> and <em>Sidi Bel Abbes<\/em> are under a heavy rain advisory until 9 PM tonight. A separate alert indicates locally significant thunderstorms commencing midday and continuing until midnight for <em>Saida, El Bayadh,<\/em> and <em>Tiaret.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Later this evening, beginning at 9 PM and lasting until dawn tomorrow, <em>Medea, Laghouat,<\/em> and <em>Djelfa<\/em> will be affected by locally significant thunderstorms.<\/p>\n<p>Higher elevations in the west are expected to receive heavy snowfall. The initial warning covers the mountains of <em>Tlemcen<\/em> and <em>Naama<\/em> until 3 PM today. Additionally, the mountainous regions of <em>Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, El Bayadh,<\/em> and <em>Tiaret<\/em> are forecast to experience heavy snowfall starting midday and continuing until midnight.<\/p>\n<p>The weather service has also issued a separate warning for a prolonged period of intense cold, lasting until dawn tomorrow.
