This project represents a significant step towards strengthening the local production of strategic medicines.<\/p>\n<p>The launch ceremony, held at Novo Nordisk&#8217;s headquarters in Boufarik, Blida, was attended by key figures including Saidal Group&#8217;s CEO, Nabila Ben Yagzer Mouloud Warth, and Novo Nordisk Algeria&#8217;s General Manager, Hamza Ben Harkat, along with other officials from both organizations.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from Saidal Group, preparations for this project commenced in September, involving intensive technical and institutional coordination. This collaboration culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding, followed by a formal agreement in October. The ultimate goal is to achieve complete local production of insulin pens within Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>The manufacturing process is expected to take place at Saidal&#8217;s Constantine unit, enabling the localization of this vital medication and reducing reliance on imports. This initiative aligns with Algeria&#8217;s strategy for pharmaceutical sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p><em>Beyond manufacturing, the agreement also encompasses the gradual integration of innovative therapeutic solutions developed by Novo Nordisk.<\/em> This ensures that Algerian patients have access to modern and effective treatments that meet international standards for diabetes care.<\/p>\n<p>Saidal Group has experienced significant growth, with its turnover increasing from 12 billion dinars in 2023 to 24 billion dinars in 2024. Projections estimate a further increase to 35 billion dinars in 2025.
