A national committee, comprising all stakeholders involved in the process, has been established. <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Special:Search?search=Algerian%20Agriculture\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Algerian Agriculture<\/a> and Livestock Development Plan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representing the minister, the Director-General of Agricultural Production, Masoud Ben Driddi, confirmed during the 49th <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=65918\">anniversary of the founding<\/a> of the National Union of Algerian Farmers in Ain Temouchent, that this committee is responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of this plan, which includes various species and breeds such as sheep, cows, goats, camels, and horses. This follows the completion of livestock census, which showed significant discrepancies compared to previous declarations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Agriculture Minister emphasized the &#8220;utmost importance&#8221; of this plan as the optimal means to determine the necessary measures for protecting and sustainably and scientifically developing livestock. Among the initiatives under this plan is maintaining the subsidized barley quota and providing other feeds at thoughtfully priced rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also mentioned the launch of a very important and strategic operation for the national <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=50\">economy<\/a>, related to the general census of agriculture.
