Algeria is deepening its collaboration with Italy in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation, aiming to foster a knowledge-based economy and empower young entrepreneurs. The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, received an Italian delegation from the University of Naples Parthenope on Tuesday at the ‘Algeria Venture’ accelerator. The delegation was led by Professor Antonio Garofalo, the university’s president, and included the Italian Ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo.<\/p>\n
The visit underscores the commitment to enhance Algerian-Italian cooperation in developing entrepreneurial skills within Algeria. Discussions centered on cultivating the necessary capabilities for building innovative ecosystems and supporting a joint approach to promote and develop micro-enterprises.<\/p>\n
The program featured presentations by officials from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, as well as professors from the Italian university. These presentations highlighted the characteristics of Algeria’s startup ecosystem and mechanisms for promoting entrepreneurship, particularly through ANGEM and NESDA. The role and responsibilities of the National Agency for Self-Employment (ANAE) were also presented.<\/p>\n
The Italian side presented their programs for enhancing entrepreneurial skills within universities and explored opportunities for joint cooperation to support sustainable development.
