DZWatch Exclusive:<\/strong> The Algerian News Agency (APS) has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as repeated ‘slips’ by France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions. This criticism comes ahead of the scheduled broadcast of a new episode of the program ‘Compl\u00e9ment d\u2019enqu\u00eate,’ titled ‘Rumors and Dirty Tricks… The Secret War Between France and Algeria’ on Thursday, January 22nd.<\/p>\n

APS characterized the program’s promotional title as a ‘promise of scandal’ and the latest instance of a concerning trend. The agency stated, ‘It is a public media outlet abandoning the demands of journalistic work, replacing them with the most extreme and rotten theses of the French far-right.’<\/p>\n

The Algerian news agency asserted that this is not balanced journalism or investigative reporting. ‘It is an institution based on systematic misinformation, in which Algeria is transformed into an obsessive target and a subject of media consumption,’ the APS dispatch said.<\/p>\n

According to APS, France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions, which is expected to embody rigor and professionalism, is adopting far-right narratives and providing a platform for those whose primary focus is hatred of Algeria. They described it as a ‘cheap ideological trade.’<\/p>\n

The agency further highlighted what it sees as an obsession with Algeria within a segment of the French political class, exemplified by a ‘fake former French diplomat’ suffering from what they termed ‘Algeria Syndrome.’ APS alleges that this individual consistently attempted to destabilize Algeria during his time in the country, understanding that ‘in France, the higher the tone of hatred towards Algeria, the greater the reward.’<\/p>\n

APS also expressed concern that French public media is prepared to ‘do anything to support its hypotheses,’ giving a platform to a ‘drug dealer, blackmailer, illiterate thug’ with the aim of ‘sowing doubt and poisoning the minds of Algerian youth.’ The agency claims this individual, driven by personal issues and unable to build a respectable social role, flaunts his wealth and is allegedly protected by French agencies.<\/p>\n

The Algerian News Agency concluded by condemning the ‘decline of French public media’ and its willingness to promote biased and unfounded narratives.<\/p>\n
