The National Company for Rail Transport has announced the schedules and ticket prices for the international train service connecting Algeria and Tunisia. According to a company statement, the train departs from Annaba station on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 AM, arriving in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, at 6:27 PM, with stops in Souk Ahras, Ghardimaou, Jendouba, and B\u00e9ja.<\/p>\n
Return trips depart from Tunis station on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:25 AM, arriving at Annaba station at 6:20 PM. Border crossing procedures are conducted at the Souk Ahras International Station for the Algerian side and at Ghardimaou Station for the Tunisian side.<\/p>\n
Passengers can purchase tickets from the Annaba and Souk Ahras stations, as well as from stations in Algiers, Oran, and Constantine. Ticket prices are competitive and accessible, with first-class tickets priced at 1,900 DZD and second-class tickets at 1,640 DZD. For round-trip travel, the first-class fare is 3,485 DZD, while the second-class fare is 3,040 DZD.<\/p>\n
The statement also noted that travel is free for children under the age of 4, while children aged 4 to 12 are eligible for a 50 percent discount.<\/p>\n
