Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a joint ministerial meeting on Thursday dedicated to studying the current state and prospects of Algerian-Nigerien relations, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, industry, health, trade, and training.<\/p>\n
A statement from the Prime Ministry indicated that the meeting was held in implementation of the instructions of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding the follow-up on the results of the visit made by General Abdourahamane Tchiani, President of the Republic of Niger and Head of State, to Algeria on February 15 and 16, 2026.<\/p>\n
According to the same statement, the meeting also examined ways to implement various joint bilateral projects and cooperation and solidarity activities approved by both sides during this presidential visit.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs; the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines; the Minister of Finance; the Minister of Health; the Minister of Industry; the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies; the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion; the Minister of Post and Telecommunications; the Minister of Vocational Education and Training; and the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure. Also in attendance were the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense and the Director General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development.<\/p>\n
