The political class in Algeria<\/a> has shown significant interest in President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s<\/a> decision to establish an annual address to both chambers of the Parliament, marking the first instance of such an event, which is named “Speech to the Nation”, scheduled for the upcoming Monday at the Palace of Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of various political groups represented in the Parliament have praised the President’s initiative to address the people from the parliamentary platform, aiming to evaluate the achievements of the current year. Abdelkader Bensalah, the head of the National Construction Bloc, noted that President Tebboune<\/a>‘s initiative underscores the substantial importance he places on the legislative authority and both chambers of the Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bensalah added, “President Tebboune has repeatedly praised in several press meetings the efforts made by the National People’s Assembly and its composition, especially the youth element in the council.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bensalah, the speech will provide insight and a message about the coordination between various state institutions, which work harmoniously to achieve the major goals envisioned in the President’s program since his election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The head of the National Construction Bloc continued, “This speech will summarize four years of governance, providing an overview of reforms and their social and economic outcomes, and keeping the nation informed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bensalah further stated, “It will establish a new culture<\/a> of governance, emphasizing good governance and transparency, as President Tebboune has insisted, in managing state affairs, a speech directed to the nation through the presence of elected representatives from the Council of the Nation and the National People’s Assembly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the spokesperson, the previous periods witnessed complete marginalization of these legislative institutions. However, President Tebboune’s upcoming speech will mark the beginning of a new phase in managing governance affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
