UNICEF’s regional director highlighted that his organization supplies medicines to 136 African countries, adding that Algeria’s participation in the African Ministerial Conference on Local Medicine Production held in late November 2025 significantly boosted the global profile of Algerian pharmaceuticals in terms of quality and competitive pricing.<\/p>\n
Minister Kouiidri confirmed that Algeria’s pharmaceutical sector now covers at least 83% of domestic market needs, with substantial export capacity available.
