Algeria reaffirmed on Monday its clear and steadfast position in support of Mali’s unity \u2014 its land, people, and institutions.<\/p>\n
Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, during a meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Affairs Minister Elmedin Konakovi\u0107, told dzwatch: “I wish to address the serious developments unfolding in our Sahelian space, and Mali in particular, to reaffirm Algeria’s clear and unwavering position \u2014 one that supports, first and foremost, Mali’s unity in land, people, and institutions.”<\/p>\n
Attaf stressed Algeria’s categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism, stating it “cannot be justified or tolerated regardless of its motives,” drawing on Algeria’s own painful experience with this scourge.<\/p>\n
