Algerian fuel distribution stations are set to open their doors in Mauritania in the near future, the Mauritanian government’s official spokesman and parliamentary spokesperson, Al-Hussein Ould Medou, has revealed.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the government’s weekly press briefing, Ould Medou stated that the move reflects the advanced level of cooperation between Nouakchott and Algiers in the energy sector, according to the Mauritanian News Agency.<\/p>\n
He added that Algeria had expressed, during the proceedings of the 20th session of the Mauritanian-Algerian Grand Joint Committee, its readiness to meet Mauritanian requests concerning gas and energy supplies \u2014 a step that is expected to strengthen energy security and open new horizons for bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
