ALGIERS \u2013 Algeria’s national highway authority (ADA) has deployed specialized technical teams to work around the clock on repairing an electrical malfunction at the Al-Hamdania tunnels, aiming to restore normal traffic flow along the vital highway section connecting Al-Hamdania and Chiffa. According to an official update from the authority, the ongoing interventions are concentrated at Substation No. 2, which houses the critical electrical equipment powering the control and monitoring systems of the tunnels. The technical and operational teams have been continuously mobilized, working day and night shifts with all necessary human and technological resources deployed to expedite the repairs. In coordination with local security and transport authorities, safety monitoring operations remain highly active on-site to ensure the security of road users and protect the integrity of the infrastructure. The ADA has urged motorists to exercise caution, strictly adhere to temporary road signs, and follow detour guidelines until the maintenance is complete.
